The Color Play Lantern includes a 7.5 cm tall Sunny Starscout pony figurine with a beauty spot in the shape of a shooting star on one flank, inspired by her character. The figure is movable and has molded pink hair braided into her familiar braid. When the key is turned on the lantern, it begins to glow and small crystal containers appear. A surprise accessory is hidden in each small container as well as on top of the lantern. When the crystal pieces are placed over the light in the lantern, the light color changes (6 different colors in total).
